These are fun and adventurous 6-day canoe trips deep into the interior of Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada.
Everything you need for this trip will be supplied, including high-quality waterproof canoe packs, food, canoes, tents, and guide. You will need only your personal items and a sleeping bag.
We will be covering 8 to 12 km a day at an easy pace, moving through numerous wilderness lakes and gentle rivers in a loop to return to our put in point 6 days later (depending on the trip you have chosen). We plan to be off the water each day by 3 pm to allow everyone plenty of time to relax, swim, fish, explore and enjoy the area we are camping in that night.
Not only will you experience the majesty of canoeing Canada’s Algonquin Park wilderness, but also improve and enhance your paddling and wilderness skills as our ORCKA certified guides/instructors lead you on an extended wilderness odyssey that will be the highlight of your summer. You will have ample opportunity to experience equipment and techniques that will ensure that your experience with nature will be a safe, warm dry and comfortable one. Full ORCKA Basic Canoe Skills Levels 1 through 4 certifications is also available on this trip.
We often see moose, deer, beaver, osprey, loons and may hear wolves howling in the distance at night.
